The Ministry of Agriculture recently issued Announcement No. 2289, in order to ensure the quality and ecological environment safety of agricultural products, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China and the Regulations on Pesticide Management, on the basis of public consultation, the Ministry decided to take the following management measures for three pesticides such as Mephos。

The announcement is as follows:

1. Since October 1, 2015, the registration of Mephos on citrus trees has been revoked, and the use of mephos on citrus trees has been prohibited。
2. Since October 1, 2015, the registered use scope and application method of bromomethane and chloropicrin will be changed to soil fumigation, and other registration except soil fumigation will be revoked。Bromomethane and chloropicrin should be used under the guidance of professional and technical personnel。
